Brock's Stepmother Kathy passed away this last Saturday morning at the young age of 63. She had been married to Brock's Dad for almost 26 years and will be greatly missed. It's always hard to lose someone you love, but even harder this time of year. On the bright side, we we've able to spend lots of time with family and loved ones.
After the tears were dried the celebration of Grandma Petersen's life began and a food fight...
We've had Brock's sister Tami and her family staying with us and their December baby...Mikaila turned 15 the other night. Mikaila's favorite food is shrimp and Brock found a new fun place to eat that served shrimp along with other yummy seafood.

The food was great! We got to wear bibs and eat with our hands, but pulling the heads of the shrimp freaked the kids out a little.
We ended the night with cheesecake and a good game of liars dice.

It has been a tough week, moth, year... for the Petersens'. With that though we have also beeb blessed as well. And though at times we struggle, we are reminded by your blog that we we have plenty of good to help with the sad. Another great blog Brigit, thank you for all that you do to keep our memories alive.
